Turn a research paper into readable notes

Upload a paper and get what it actually claims: the question, the method, the result, and the limits — separated, instead of buried in eight pages of prose.

Most papers are written to survive peer review, not to be skimmed. By the time the contribution appears it is three pages into the related-work section, hedged across four clauses.

This tool reads the whole PDF and pulls the skeleton out: what was asked, how it was tested, what the numbers were, and what the authors themselves say the method cannot do. Formulas and tables survive as text, so check those against the original.

How it works

  1. Upload the paper as a PDF. Two-column layouts and embedded figures are handled.
  2. Leave the output language as the paper's, or switch it if you want the notes in yours.
  3. Read the summary first, then the detailed section, then go back to the paper only for the parts that matter.

Questions

Does it handle maths and equations?

Equations come through as text approximations of the notation, not as typeset maths. For anything you will actually use, read the original.

Will it tell me whether the paper is any good?

No. It reports what the paper says, including the limitations the authors admit. Judging the work is still your job.

Can it compare several papers?

One document per run. Run each paper separately, then compare the notes side by side.
